General Rules & Regulations

Admission Procedure
  1. Admission will be made as per rules/instructions of Punjabi University, Patiala.
  2. Each candidate shall fill up the admission form neatly in his own handwriting for different programmes and shall submit the form duly signed by parents or guardians in the college office personally.
  3. The following documents are to be attached with the admission form :
    • Four copies of latest Passport size colored photographs (front pose) at specified places in the form.
    • Attested photo copies of the following certificates
      • Matriculation Certificate, +2 and graduation degree.
      • Detail Marks card of qualifying examination and Character certificate from the Principal of the Institution/College last attended.
  4. A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination and his/her result is still awaited, may apply on the condition that he/she will submit the result or proof of meeting the eligibility requirements to the university at the time of filling of the examination form.
  5. An eligibility certificate is required for the candidates, passing
  6. All original certificates shall be deposited before admission. The reserved category student shall bring the original certificate duly signed by the Competent authority.
Rules Regarding Academics
  1. Student should be regular in the college. In case of any problem, the student should take leave with prior approval either from class coordinator or from concerned hold, otherwise fine as per rules will be charged. as per rules of the university the candidate is allowed to sit in the examination if he has attended a minimum 75% of attendance of scheduled lectures in every subject. Defaulters will not be allowed to appear in the university examination.
  2. If a student continuously remains absent from the class for more than three days without any authorized leave, his/her name will be struck off from the rolls. such candidates may be readmitted if there is possibility of completion of required percentage of lecture. In all such cases, are admission fee will be charged as per rules.
  3. In case of mass bunking of class by students, action will be taken on one to one basis as per university rules.
  4. Attendance in special events like seminars, conferences, guest lectures, industrial visits, study tours and other functions organized in the institute is mandatory. Moreover, the students are also required to wear college uniform on all such occasions.
  5. All MST "s, assignments and presentation are compulsory for the students to appear in the final examination of university .roll no. slip not be issued until the student fulfills the condition.
  6. Use of mobile is strictly prohibited in classrooms. If found guilty, the fine would be imposed and if caught again for the second time, the mobile will be confiscated for the whole semester
Rules Regarding Library
  1. At onetime maximum of two books are issued for two weeks and the books should be physically presented for renewal.
  2. Books will be issued only on production of identity cum library cards. in case a card is lost for the first time, a duplicate card will be issued on request along with fine of rs.100/-.
  3. Students are not expected to scribble or mark nothing on the book or tear off pages from the library.
  4. All the students of the institute shall deposit library security of rs. 1000/- refundable at the end of course.
  5. Students must present their library card while borrowing books.
  6. Students are expected to maintain complete silence and strict discipline while in the library.
  7. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library.
  8. Eatables are strictly banned in the library.
Rules Regarding Uniform
  1. All students have to come in uniform on Monday and Thursday. Apart from this, they are required to wear formal dress on the rest of the days.
  2. Fine of Rs. 20 per day will be imposed on the students who will be without uniform. In case of repeated violation of this rule by students, disciplinary action will be taken.
Rules Regarding Computer Lab
  1. Computer labs are for academic and research purpose. Personal emailing, chatting and games are not permitted.
  2. Unauthorized and Illegal copying of any software is strictly prohibited.
  3. No personal floppy disks, cd's or pen drives are allowed in the computer labs. Food and/ or any type of disks cd's or pen drives are allowed in the computer labs.
Rules and Regulations
  1. The parents and the students are required to go through the prospectus carefully before singing the admission from. Once the form is signed the total responsibility of having read the Rules and regulations lies upon the parents and the students and they shell be bound by the same.
  2. Students are advised to visit the college website www.balrajsinglagoi.com regularly to update themselves with the latest activities organised in the college as well as with the notification Loaded there and android app
  3. Always carry the identity card with you. It must be show to the college staff on demand.
  4. Check the notice board daily.
  5. Switch off the fans and lights while leaving the classrooms.
  6. Be regular and punctual to the classes.
Examination Rules & Regulations

The following rules apply to every student of Aryabhatta College while taking the various written examinations that form a part of the evaluation process for their curricular courses.

  1. Reporting to the examination hall:
    1. No student will be allowed to bring his/her mobile phones to the examination hall.
    2. All students must carry with them their Identity Card during the examinations and produce the same for verification, if required.
    3. The students should ensure that they bring with them all the concerned material that is allowed by the concerned course instructor, which would be needed to take the examination.
    4. The students are expected to take their respective seats 15 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of the examination.
    5. Students should ensure that they are not carrying on their person any material, other than that allowed by the course instructor for the particular examination, before they take their seats in the exam hall. Any such material found on their person during the examination would be construed as a deliberate attempt to use unfair means and would be dealt with accordingly.
  2. At the start of the examination : 
    1. The doors of the examination hall would be closed 5 minutes before the commencement of the examination, for the distribution of the exam material to the students already seated in the room. The door will be opened, to allow latecomers, after the last student already seated in the room in time has received his/her exam material.
    2. The latecomers should proceed take their seats and wait for the exam material to be given to them.
    3. No student will be allowed to enter the examination hall 15 minutes after the commencement of the examination for in-semester examinations and 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination for end-semester examinations.
  3. During the Examination:
    1. Exchange (borrowing or lending) of any material during the examination is not allowed.
    2. No student will resort to any unfair means of any nature while taking their examinations. If any student were found to be involved in using unfair means during an examination, the said student would be immediately expelled from the exam hall for that examination and the matter would be reported to the respective course instructor and the Director for further action.
    3. In case a student is found to be copying from his/her fellow student, then both the parties, the one providing the assistance and the one seeking the same, would be punished for the same.
    4. In case a student has to leave his/her seat for whatever reason, he/she has to seek the permission of the concerned invigilator(s) of that exam hall before doing so. For visiting the rest room, he/she has to seek the permission of the concerned faculty invigilator of that examination hall before doing so.
    5. No supplement(s) would be given to the students in the last 15 minutes of the examination.
  4. On Completion of the Examination: 
    1. No student will be allowed to leave the room before the half time of the semester examination.
    2. Students who are present in the last 15 minutes of the examination will have to wait till the exam material is collected from all the students by the invigilators and they are permitted to leave by the faculty invigilator of that exam hall.
    3. While leaving the examination hall the students should not hang around to discuss the paper. As there may be other examinations still in progress, quietly leave the building to ensure that you do not disturb them.
